Summary
Blessed with elongated land from north to south with diversified climates, Vietnam has various lifestyles and traditional cultures unique to each area.  For a period of time, socialist policies have placed restrictions on the traditional cultures, but many of the valuable cultures that served as heart and soul of the Vietnamese people have come to life again after the Doi Moi.  Along with the changes in life environment, new lifestyles and life cultures have been generated and started to spread among the wealthy and middle upper classes.  This part reports the reality of such changes.  The report deeply studies the Viet Kieu and foreign cultures, and economic activities and cultural exchanges with Japan as significant change factors, and grasps their influence on lifestyle and working style of Ho Chi Minh citizens.

Vietnam is located on a strategic point of the Indochina Peninsula, and is highly advantageous in geographical conditions.  Also historically, the nation has had tolerance of different civilizations, religions and values, and ability to assimilate them.  The Vietnamese people are proud of their country, and have qualities of ambition and diligence to make their own life and nation wealthier.  These traits are great power to support the future development of Vietnam in the age of globalization.  This part studies the future of Vietnam that will promote peace and economic development in alliance with ASEAN countries and other foreign nations.
